This is a series of lino prints of various landmarks around the city of Oxford. Some landmarks are well known, some known only to Oxford residents. The Radcliffe Camera print was printed on the pages and cover of an old book entitled The Story of Oxford by Stuart Petre Brodie Mais. I think this reflects the nature of what goes on in the building, as one of the world's oldest libraries.
For this project, I created a series of lino prints inspired by the crazy and quirky characters from Lewis Carol's 1865 novel, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. I wanted the colours to be bold and brash like the characters' personalities.
